According to film critic Taran Adarsh, you should not expect logic in the film and enjoy this rollercoaster ride. You’re going to see a lot of craziness here. The director of the film, Tarun Mansukhani, has tried to make a place in the hearts of the audience with new energy. The writing of the film was good with one liners, funny twists and some good jokes. The film strikes the right balance between madness and masala.
However, where the film misses a bit is that some of the jokes seem a bit dated or as if they have been forced. Some of the supporting actors are underused. The post-interval screenplay could have been a bit better.
The music of the film makes it enjoyable. The 2 songs of the movie Lal Pari and Dil Ae Nadan are quite good which will make you dance and the visuals of the song are also good.

The best performance belongs to Akshay Kumar who has given a brilliant performance. He is seen in his best form. Ritesh Deshmukh’s comic timing is also good. Abhishek Bachchan’s acting will amaze you. The lead actresses of the film are not seen doing much, yes but they add to the craziness.
Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever and Chunky Pandey have also done well. You will enjoy watching Ranjith on the big screen.
In short, Housefull 5 is a full masala, fun and family friendly movie.
